I am close to finishing a book about autism and human rights in the United States. I am neurotypical myself (with a truly amazing adult autistic daughter), but a major feature of the book is the extensive use of autistic voices, drawn from a wide variety of sources, to comment on the subjects I'm covering: early intervention, education, employment, housing, health, and various forms of violence against autistic people.
I'm at TASH to learn more about all these subjects. I am especially excited to see that there's a session on human rights!
If you want to learn more about the book, go to my website: WHOOPS! My website has a "critical error" right now. But you can still reach me through email at meganmclaughlinwriting@gmail.com.
